how to enroll

BCS provides families with an innovative, empowering and results-oriented choice.

Follow the steps below to enroll your student at BCS.

1) Complete an enrollment form

Enrolling your child can be done quickly and easily through our SchoolMint platform! Once you’ve created your account and added your child’s information, you can complete an application…in less than 5 minutes! Paper enrollment forms will also be available at the Bullis Charter School office at 102 West Portola Avenue in Los Altos.

2) Gather your documents

Carefully review the list of required documents below. A copy of each document is required for every child.

A. Copy of child’s birth certificate, Passport, OR Baptismal certificate and

B. TWO of the following:

  • Recent Property tax bill
  • Current Rental property contract, lease, or payment receipts
  • Voter registration card
  • Current DMV vehicle registration
  • Utility bill that dates within 3 months (gas/electric, land line, garbage, water, cable – cell phone not accepted)

The required documents above are requested solely for the purpose of establishing the age and residency of the applicant. All documents must contain the parent/guardian name(s) and corresponding residential address for the student provided on the enrollment form. If you are unable to provide the required documents for any reason, email enroll@bullischarterschool.com or call 650-947-4100 to discuss your situation with our enrollment coordinator.

3) Submit your packet

An enrollment packet for each student, containing a completed enrollment form and all required documents, should be submitted online, in person, or mailed to the BCS main office.

Submitting a completed Enrollment Packet does not automatically guarantee admission. You will be notified of your child’s enrollment status following the close of the Open Enrollment period. If more students apply than seats available, we hold a public random lottery following the close of the Open Enrollment period to select students. The enrollment lottery for the 2022-2023 school year is scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00am.

NOTE: If your child is offered a spot in Bullis Charter School, you will be asked to complete additional registration forms to complete the enrollment process.

BCS offers equal access to applicants through our enrollment lottery regardless of their actual or perceived disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code or association with an individual who has any of the aforementioned characteristics.
