As an immigrant, woman of color, and an educator with 15 years of experience, my leadership is rooted in joy, curiosity, authenticity, community, equity, and growth. These values shape my decisions everyday from how I support students and collaborate with educators to how I foster an inclusive and thriving school environment.
I began my career in the classroom as a teacher, where I quickly recognized that many students needed extra support to thrive. That experience inspired me to pursue my doctorate in school psychology, deepening my expertise in supporting diverse student needs.Â
As my knowledge expanded in this field, so did my desire to create a broader impact. This led me to transition into a systems coaching role, where I worked with schools to develop frameworks that empower both students and educators. Ultimately, this journey brought me to school leadership, where I have the privilege of shaping learning environments at Bullis Charter School that are inclusive, equitable, and designed for every child to flourish.
Cultivating Relationships

At the heart of a thriving school is community, where every child and adult feels a sense of belonging and purpose. When educators are joyful and supported, they create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
At BCS, we foster this through ongoing professional development, including in-service training, in-classroom coaching, and weekly collaboration periods for meaningful discussions and curriculum development.
These opportunities not only strengthen instruction but also provide space to address students' social and emotional needs and make critical decisions. Above all, they deepen our commitment to equity, ensuring that every student receives the support they need.
Authenticity

At BCS, we are committed to ensuring that every student, educator, and family feels seen and empowered to bring their full selves into our community.
Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and we intentionally create opportunities for students to engage in authentic conversations about who they are, where they come from, and what they value. That’s why we spend extensive time as a community celebrating the cultures within BCS.Â
Through school-wide events and interdisciplinary learning, we partner with our families and staff, who represent a truly global network, to learn about the values, traditions, and celebrations that matter to them. These experiences help our students develop empathy, appreciation for different perspectives, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Diversity in Every Form

Diversity at BCS is more than cultural. It includes our various socioeconomic backgrounds, learning styles, abilities, and perspectives. We believe in equity in action, ensuring that every student has the resources and opportunities they need. Students with IEPs and learning differences receive specialized support that allows them to fully engage in our rigorous academic environment.Â
We hold the firm belief that every student, regardless of their current academic skills, deeply enriches everyone’s learning experience. Each individual has the capacity to grow leaps and bounds. For our English language learners, we provide tailored instruction that honors their unique strengths, celebrates their language of origin, creating an immersive and engaging journey to learning a new language.
Shaping Future Leaders

At BCS, we are not just preparing students for the future; we are shaping the kind of humans we want to lead the world of tomorrow by educating them for as yet unknown opportunities. We’re continually assessing both what we teach and how we teach to ensure that our learners develop the skills, mindset, and adaptability needed to navigate an ever-changing world with confidence and integrity. Beyond academics, we focus on building character, fostering resilience, and cultivating the skills students need to become tomorrow’s empathetic and innovative leaders
