Family-founded, free, and public Bullis Charter School has been innovating education since 2004. As we look ahead to the next 20 years, we reflect on what our learners have achieved and how we will continue to prepare them for an unknown future.
BCS serves a richly diverse community of learners who come from households where more than 32 languages are spoken. Our TK-8th grade program is intentionally designed to offer a meaningful and challenging educational experience that recognizes each child’s uniqueness. Our extraordinary faculty and staff are committed to ensuring that every learner here is known, cared for, and respected.
BCS is recognized as the #9 elementary school and #6 middle school in California. While we are proud of our standing in the state, we are never satisfied. We continually assess how we are fulfilling our mission and vision to prepare learners for high school and beyond.
In 2024, as we celebrated our 20th anniversary, the BCS Board of Directors launched a 5-year strategic plan. Representatives from our school community including parents, teachers, and administrators are reflecting on what’s working here now and where we can grow.
Our world is changing dramatically. We as a school must consider how to transform in ways that best serve today’s learners and those who will attend BCS in the years to come. Future ready starts here.
Over the next five years we will implement more innovative educational opportunities for our students including AI and machine learning. We will empower our educators with expanded professional development. We’ll participate more fully with the community by building relationships with local organizations, and we will integrate our elementary and middle school through schoolwide programming and events.
We are excited about this strategic plan and passionate about the work our collaborative community is doing to bring it to life. This is the most important work we will do as we embark on the next 20 years here at BCS.
