Our Mission
Bullis Charter School offers a collaborative, experiential learning
environment that emphasizes individual student achievement. As a model of
educational excellence, BCS inspires children, faculty and staff to reach
beyond themselves to achieve full potential. Using a global perspective to teach about the
interconnectedness of communities and their environments, the BCS program
nurtures mutual respect, civic responsibility and a lifelong love of

BCS Granted Six-Year Renewal Accreditation by WASC (2009)
Bullis Charter School was granted a six-year renewal accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school participated in a rigorous self-study process and a multiple-day site visit by the accreditation committee, which included interviews of community members and parents.
Bullis Charter School Named California Distinguished School (2008)
"This award is a testament to the incredible talents, dedication, and sheer hard work of the entire BCS community", stated Wanny Hersey, BCS Superintendent and Principal. "Four years ago we set out to implement our vision and are thrilled to be recognized as a California Distinguished School."
