Our mission is to unify the community around the BCS mission by facilitating, energizing, and inspiring meaningful volunteer engagement in support of staff and students. Our members apply their diverse skills, creativity and a healthy spirit of fun - to a variety of fundraising and social events held throughout the year.

BBC CURRENT EVENTS

Fall Book Fair: The Fall Book Fair will be held at BCS from October 20-23. Family Night will be Tuesday, October 21.

Watch the Thursday folders for information on how to participate!
Walkathon: Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 25th, for our annual WALKATHON! Pledge cards and more details coming soon. To volunteer, log in to the Groupery and select the Walkathon flyer.

Fall Family Dinner: The Fall Family dinner was a great success -- music, pinatas, delicious food and a fun cake walk. It was a great way to catch up with everyone after the first few weeks of school.
First Day of School Coffee: Join the BBC Board on the blacktop for some java, muffins, and conversation as the kids meet up with old friends and make new ones on the first day of school. Starts at 8:40, goes until the coffee runs out!

First Day Student Bar-B-Que: No need to pack a lunch for the kids on the first day of school! The BBC provides a healthy grilled lunch made by parent volunteers, accompanied by fruit, dessert, and a beverage. Meals for parents and siblings not included, but please feel free to "brown bag" it and stop by for a visit! This occurs on school grounds during normal school hours.

Bullis "Bear Guides" for New Families
The BBC has a Bullis parent lined-up for you to help make your transition to the school a smooth one! The goal of the Bear Guide program is to help assimilate new families into the Bullis community. The program teams up knowledgeable members of the existing Bullis community with each of the new families to the school. The Guides visit with the families (typically over the phone) during the first few months of the school year to answer questions, help new families understand the school and its programs, suggest school activities that they may want to get involved in, and try to help families avoid feeling overwhelmed. Where possible, families will be assigned a guide that has a child in the same grade. Each family will be assigned a guide unless they request to not be given a guide. The guide will contact the family during the first few weeks of school.

MORE WAYS YOU CAN HELP

Help us raise $$$ by signing up today!

Every time you make a purchase using an eScrip registered grocery club card or debit/credit card at one of over 150 participating merchants they will contribute a percentage to BCS. And, through the eScrip Online Mall you are able to shop at hundreds of name brand merchants online. There are no receipts to collect and no vouchers or certificates to buy. Sign up on line. It is quick and easy and costs you nothing!

It takes just a few minutes of your time and your credit and/or grocery club card numbers.
  • Step 1: Go to www.escrip.com
  • Step 2: Click on "sign up" tab
  • Step 3: Follow the instructions (Our group name is Bullis Charter School, our Group ID # is 152313406)

If you signed up a long time ago, you will need to check that your designated school is correct and that all your credit cards and grocery cards are listed.

Last year Bullis Charter School received over $1000 per month from the eScrip program largely from credit card purchases at Draegers and Andronico's and from Safeway Club cards... the list of participating merchants is getting longer all the time.

Use your eScrip registered cards for all your purchases and when shopping online log on to the eScrip Online Mall. With every purchase you make through the eScrip site or with a registered merchant, you will be contributing to Bullis!
